Syndicated by the NBC affiliate, WSAZ / MyZ out of Huntington, WV and
sponsored in part by the Highlands
Museum, Ashland, Kentucky. The Rob McNurlin Ranch Party is an
authentic, western, folk, hillbilly and gospel music series reminiscent
of the Porter Wagoner Show, the Flatt and Scruggs show and other
country music series from the 50's and 60's. Rob's backing band the
Beatnik Cowboys is comprised of some of the best musicians in Nashville
TN, Kenny Vaughan (from Marty Stuarts
Fabulous Superlatives) Kayton Roberts (30 years with Hank
Snow) plus JT Cure (Clack
Mountain String Band) and each half hour show features a nationally
known
recording artist, as well as a sacred number.
The host, Rob McNurlin brings old time, down home fun for the whole family. Rob has toured the U.S. and England, hosted his own radio show and co-hosted WTCR's Highway 23 Jamboree, written and recorded songs for award winning documentaries and starred in Rhythm of My Soul a film about music in East Kentucky.The show airs Saturdays at 8:30 am on MY-Z TV and will soon be aired on the Ohio University network..
