Museum, Ashland, Kentucky. The Rob McNurlin Ranch Party is an
authentic, western, folk, hillbilly and gospel music series reminiscent
of the Porter Wagoner Show, the Flatt and Scruggs show and other
country music series from the 50's and 60's. Rob's backing band the
Beatnik Cowboys is comprised of some of the best musicians in Nashville
TN, Kenny Vaughan (from Marty Stuarts
Fabulous Superlatives) Kayton Roberts (30 years with Hank
Snow) plus JT Cure (Clack
Mountain String Band) and each show will feature a nationally known
recording artist, as well as a sacred number. Each episode is 28
minutes and 30 seconds of high-energy entertainment and family fun!
The host, Rob McNurlin will bring you old time, down home fun for the whole family. Rob has toured the U.S. and England, hosted his own radio show and co-hosted WTCR's Highway 23 Jamboree, written and recorded songs for award winning documentaries and starred in Rhythm of My Soul a film about music in East Kentucky. All this experience will be used to present songs and tell their history and origin.The show will air Saturdays beginning April 3rd, 2010 at 8:30 am.
